An adverse drug reaction (abbreviated ADR) is an expression that describes harm associated with the use of given medications at a normal dose. The meaning of this expression differs from the meaning of "side effect", as this last expression might also imply that the effects can be beneficial. The study of ADRs is the concern of the field known as pharmacovigilance. ClassificationADRs may be classified by e.g. cause and severity. Cause

I read online after my allergic reaction that people have had the same reaction you've had to Levaquin. I'm sure it isn't extremely common, but had I known it happens as much as it does, I don't know whether I would have risked taking it. I heard on a call-in show the other day that lots of people want… [cont.] Answered by Dirty Sanchez - Thu Mar 26 13:57:03 2009 how does isoniazid causes hematologic dysfunction? Rarely, this medication has caused severe (sometimes fatal) liver problems (e.g.,fatal hepatitis) As with all drugs; it can cause enlargement of the liver or liver dysfunctions/problems. . This drug can cause hepatoxicity. One of the main functions of the liver is clearance of waste products, drugs, and toxins. .
